Microneedling Near Letchworth: SkinPen Treatments in Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Letchworth doesn't have many practitioners offering SkinPen specifically. SkinPen is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device — it's meaningfully different from a dermaroller or a generic pen device you'd find in a beauty salon because it's backed by clinical studies to show its efficacy.

SkinPen creates clean, vertical micro-channels. Rollers drag across the skin at an angle, which can cause micro-tearing rather than controlled stimulation. The depth is also adjustable — I can target surface texture at 0.5mm or deeper acne scarring at up to 2.5mm, depending on what you need. This means you will see results faster than alternative treatments with no risk of trauma to the skin.

About me

I'm Amy Halls, a CIBTAC-trained facialist based in Hitchin. I was a finalist for the CIBTAC/BIBTAC Facialist of the Year Award in 2024.

I came to microneedling because I needed it myself. I spent years managing acne and uneven skin texture through spa facials that did very little — they applied something to the surface and sent me on my way. When I saw the results that SkinPen microneedling had on my own skin, I started learning the science properly, and retrained as a facialist.

I hold a Hertfordshire Special Procedures Practitioner Licence (required for skin needling in Hertfordshire), and hold myself to the highest standards when it comes to treatments.

What I treat

Acne scarring. SkinPen stimulates collagen and elastin production by creating controlled injury in the skin. Over a course of sessions, most clients see a significant improvement in the texture and depth of atrophic (indented) scars. Read my full guide to microneedling for acne scars.

Skin texture and large pores. Rough texture, enlarged pores, and dull skin respond well to SkinPen. This is usually what brings in clients in their early thirties who feel like their skin has changed but aren't ready for injectables.

Fine lines and early signs of ageing. Microneedling has one of the strongest evidence bases of any non-injectable treatment for fine lines. I've written about this for clients looking at alternatives to botox.

All prices are VAT inclusive. Local competitors in Hertfordshire typically charge £250+ for the same SkinPen treatment.
